Rs 7,000 crore for infrastructure development in Tripura
Chief Minister virtually inaugurated 14 development projects

AGARTALA, September 08, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has announced a budget allocation of about Rs 7,000 crore for infrastructure development. He also declared establishment of two more one-stop centres in Kailashahar and Agartala and a social allowance of Rs 2,000 per month to 14,575 Divyangjans by the Social Welfare and Social Education Department.
He was speaking after virtually inaugurating 14 development projects and unveiling the foundation stone for five 100-seated Working Women's Hostels and a 50-seated Boys' Hostel of DIET here Monday. Dr Saha also announced that about 11,130 smartphones have been provided to Anganwadi workers under the Poshan Abhiyan with the Poshan Tracker app providing daily activity information.
He mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's plan to build a Viksit Bharat by 2047 with the Tripura government already preparing a roadmap for a developed Tripura.
Chief Minister informed establishment of 46 Anganwadi centers under the DoNER Ministry and the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme providing basic services such as nutrition, health and pre-primary education.
He highlighted the rehabilitation grants given to 101 children for social reintegration and the financial assistance provided to 4,286 children in the financial year 2024-25.
