AGARTALA, September 07, 2025: Founder of the Tipra Motha party, a constituent of the BJP-led coalition government, Pradyot Kishore Manikya, will join the demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on September 9 to press a set of demands.
The protest which preceded a long march led by Devid Mura Singh has reached the national capital.
The young Tipra Motha youth leader David Murasing embarked on a 2,500-km foot march from Agartala early last month. The NIT graduate said he is on the path of protest not for personal gain, but for Tiprasa's future.
Pradyot Kishore Manikya confirmed that the “peaceful” demonstration will focus on three demands – immediate implementation of the tripartite Tiprasa Accord, deportation of illegal immigrants from Tripura and constitutional recognition and autonomy to Greater Tipraland.
In a social media post Sunday he said that “Regardless of politics, we must stand up as ONE.”
