Review and reopen unsolved murder cases: CM tells police
Advised police to maintain good relationships with the advocates

AGARTALA, September 30, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has instructed the police to identify and reopen old unsolved murder cases in order to deliver justice to the victims' families. He has also urged senior police officers to regularly visit different areas to monitor the situation and ensure the proper functioning of the police stations.
Chief Minister chaired an important review meeting at the Tripura Police Headquarters in Agartala with senior police officials from both the state and district levels Monday.
During the meeting, he spoke on the importance of appropriate police behaviour and implementation of 'Prayaas' (welfare) programme. He also highlighted that Tripura has the highest record of destruction and seizure of narcotics in the northeast India and stressed the need to put an end to the drug menace.
He directed the Tripura Police to maintain good relationships with the advocates and to obviously reopen old unsolved murder cases. Dr Saha urged everyone to fulfil their responsibilities properly and work transparently.
