Opening day establishes a robust foundation for the upcoming days

REGIONAL, November 15, 2025: The first phase of a 15-day recruitment campaign kicked off with a major rally in Dimapur marking a significant opportunity for young people in northeast India. The event commenced Saturday at 4:30 am attracting 344 candidates from 17 districts of Nagaland and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands who tended to join the Territorial Army (TA).
Participants underwent a rigorous selection process that included a 1600m run, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and medical screening, all executed with transparency and strict adherence to established standards.
The 113 Territorial Army provided complimentary meals and drinking water to those who successfully cleared the PFT. The event ensured adequate facilities, including sufficient toilets, water points and sanitation support to promote comfort and hygiene for all attendees.
The seamless execution of Day 1, enabled by collaboration between the 113 TA, Dimapur District Administration, and State Police, showcased the commitment of the Indian Army to principles of fairness, discipline, and equal opportunity. The positive outcome of the opening day establishes a robust foundation for the upcoming days underscoring the TA’s dedication to regional outreach, youth empowerment and national service.
