Recognition of outstanding academic achievement

KOHIMA, February 22 2021: Governor RN Ravi felicitated Dr Yingngam Wangnaolim for her outstanding academic achievement in Medical Post Graduation during a function held at DrImkongliba Ao Hall of Raj Bhavan Kohima Monday. Dr Yingngam secured the third position in Masters Course for Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Kerala University of Health Sciences in 2020.
Governor hailed Dr Yingngam for her achievement through resolve and hard work. Coming from a modest background, she has proved that with determination and hard work nothing is impossible. He called her an inspiration for the youth of Nagaland. The Governor advised her to be a mentor to the aspiring students of the State. She should visit High Schools, especially in the rural areas, meet students and inspire them by sharing her experience. The Governor lauded her for making the State proud of her achievement and for choosing to serve the people of Nagaland.
The Governor emphasised the need for a quantum improvement including infrastructure and delivery in the health sector. He hoped that in the next two years when the Country would be celebrating the 75th year of Independence, people of Nagaland will have access to better health services. Governor added that human resource is the most precious resource of a society and underscored the imperative of a quality education and quality health care services for building a quality human resource.
Dr Yingngam also shared her inspiring journey to becoming a doctor. Expressing gratitude to the Governor for felicitating her, she said "Nothing is more fulfilling than getting recognition for our achievements in our lives, today is one such day in my life." Whatever she has achieved, she attributed to the Almighty God and thanked her parents, relatives and friends for support throughout her journey.
Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Pangnyu Phom delivered an appreciation speech in which he called Dr Yingngam, a daughter of Nagaland, and thanked her for making the State proud. Principal Secretary H&FW AS Bhatia gave the introductory address and Commissioner cum Secretary Mhabemo Yanthan pronounced the vote of thanks.
