Rebels attack US position with drone in Jordan, kill 3
President Joe Biden warned retaliation at appropriate time

AGARTALA, January 28, 2024: On Sunday, President Joe Biden and US officials reported that three US service members were killed and dozens were wounded in an aerial drone attack on US forces stationed in northeastern Jordan along the Syrian border.
This attack, which occurred during the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, has sent shock waves throughout the Middle East.
In a statement, President Biden attributed the attack to Iran-backed rebel groups. He warned of retaliation at an ‘appropriate time.’
According to a US official at least 34 service personnel were evaluated for certain level of injuries.
Iran has not officially commented on the attack that may ignite current tension in the region.
