Rajya Puraskar Rally 2019 to focus “Plastic Free India”

SHILLONG, November 6, 2019: The 69th Foundation Day and Rajya Puraskar Rally of the Bharat Scouts and Guides on the theme “Plastic Free India” were held today at the lawn of the Raj Bhavan, Shillong. The Governor of Meghalaya Tathagata Roy, who is also the patron of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
Additional State Chief Commissioner Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, CP Gotmare, Commissioners of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides and parents of awardees were present.
Earlier, 65 Guides and 3 Rangers, 58 Scouts and 5 Rovers were presented with the Rajya Puraskar. Adult Leaders Certificates were also presented to two awardees.
On the day, the Governor released the Scouts and Guides Flag and also took a Plastic Free India Pledge.
