Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Poland, next Ukraine
He will attend community events, to engage with Indian community

GLOBAL, August 21, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Warsaw Wednesday for his first visit to Poland. He was warmly welcomed by government leaders and senior officials at the Polish military airport.
The Indian diaspora accorded him a rousing welcome at the hotel. He will attend a community event in Warsaw and engage with the Indian community.
Modi later laid a wreath at the Jam Saheb Nawanagar Memorial, the Battle of Monte Cassino Memorial and the Kolhapur Memorial.
During his visit, Prime Minister lauded Poland's role as a key economic partner in Central Europe and the mutual commitment between India and Poland to democracy and pluralism. This visit is significant as both countries are celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations.
Modi will meet with Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President Andrzej Duda during his two-day official visit.
Prime Minister’s next stopover will be Ukraine. He has been invited by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of the war ravaged country.
It will be first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine since bilateral relations began in 1992.
