Said spiritual tourism in Tripura attracting visitors from outside

AGARTALA, September 16, 2024: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha criticised previous governments for creating an atheistic environment in the state. He highlighted the positive shift towards faith and spirituality since the formation of the BJP government.
Alongside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he inaugurated the Siddheswari Mandir and the Ved Vidyalaya at Barkathal in Mohanpur in the West District Monday. Dr Saha expressed gratitude to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for attending the event for making the temple inauguration possible.
He also highlighted that Tripura attracts visitors from outside the state, who come to see sites like the Tripura Sundari Temple and Kasba Kali Bari. He expressed confidence that the Siddheswari Mandir will become a popular tourist attraction in the future.
Dr Saha also commended Swami Chittaranjan Maharaj for his efforts in establishing schools, colleges and ashrams, which currently have over 1,500 students enrolled.
Leaders and officials present at the event included Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya, and Tipra Motha founder and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarman.
