Political war intensifies ahead of TTAADC election

AGARTALA, February 23 2021: While BJP Member of Parliament charged the newly forged political party of misleading people; the TIPRA chairman Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman accused the former of backing contentious CAA. Amid he stinging attack on the TIPRA chairman Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman came from the MP Rebati Tripura, who termed the call for greater Tipraland a ‘farce’.  

Pradyot, on the other hand, accused the MP of voting in favour of CAA in the parliament.

In an oblique reference to Pradyot, Rebati said NGOs have turned into political parties and are making fake promises in the name on THANCHA among indigenous leaders.” When there is no Tipraland, then how can they think of greater Tipraland including Bangladesh, Myanmar in it? It is nothing but attempt to manipulate people”, Rebati said.

“The remarks made by a sitting minister for forest and tribal welfare after three years in the council of ministers are unexpected. He should have worked for the development of the indigenous people. IPFT lost Lok Sabha elections held 2019 and therefore they might have decided to forge an alliance with TIPRA,” Rebati added.

In reply Pradyot wrote on his social media account, “Where was this voice when CAA was passed in the parliament and you voted for the bill. What a sell out”.
