Many inured in another transport accident in Sepahijala sanctuary

AGARTALA, January 05, 2024: A bus carrying students, teachers and guardians back from a picnic caught fire near Agartala Sunday evening. Fortunately, there were no fatalities, but eleven people, including students, were injured, two of them critically.
The fire was eventually put out by fire service tenders and local residents while the bus was completely gutted. The eyewitnesses said, one of the three buses carrying approximately 150 people suddenly caught fire at Jagatpur Bashgram in Sidhai, Mohanpur.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. The fire and emergency service personnel, along with the help of local residents, were able to rescue all the passengers.
Eleven people were taken to the hospital, and six of them, including two students, were admitted. The doctors have stated that the condition of the two critically injured individuals is serious.
In another disastrous incident, 16 people who were on a picnic at the Sepahijala Wild Life Sanctuary near Agartala were injured when a mini truck ran over them. Some of the injured were admitted to the hospital, while the others were released after receiving treatment.
