NATIONAL, August 31, 2025: The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) in India has effectively integrated e-Government services on DigiLocker and e-District platforms enabling citizens across 36 states and Union Territories to access nearly 2,000 digital services anytime, anywhere.
The integrated services cover certificates, welfare schemes, utility payments and other essential facilities, ensuring convenience, efficiency and transparency in delivery. This marks a significant milestone in realizing the Digital India programme's vision of paperless and mobile governance and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
DigiLocker has successfully addressed challenges of interoperability, data security and multi-stakeholder coordination, empowering citizens with trusted digital services.
With 1,938 services available, NeGD plans to further expand the portfolio of e-Government services through an AI-driven approach including structured training programs and workshops to strengthen awareness at the state level.
