Mohanlal to receive prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award

Will be presented at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony

NATIONAL, September 20, 2025: The central government has decided to confer the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award to legendary actor, director and producer Mohanlal. The award, based on the recommendation of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award Selection Committee will be presented at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony in New Delhi.

Mohanlal, who has worked in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films has set a golden standard in Indian film history. The award is presented by the government to recognise outstanding contributions to the growth and development of Indian cinema.

The award will be presented at the 71st National Film Awards ceremony on September 23 in New Delhi.
