MEA launches new portal for political clearance applications

User-friendly platform is designed to decrease processing times

NATIONAL, April 24, 2025: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has recently launched a new online portal https://conference.epolclearance.gov.in to simplify the process of granting political clearances to foreign nationals attending conferences, seminars, workshops and sporting events organised in India by government, autonomous institutions and private bodies.

This user-friendly platform is designed to decrease processing times and aligns with the Digital India Mission by providing a fully online service. The MEA has urged all departments and institutions to utilise and promote the portal, and has also welcomed feedback for future enhancements.
