Indian Coast Guard rescues Myanmar national

PORBANDAR, January 11, 2020: responding to a humanitarian call, Indian Coast Guard rescued a Myanmar national off the Porbandar Coast at high seas from a civil vessel `MV Fortune Wing`. The medical evacuation was carried out on intervening night of January 10 and 11, security officials said.
The patient was later admitted at a hospital in Rajkot.
In December 2019, the Coast Guard rescued six fishermen cut off on a flooded fishing boat off the Porbandar coast in Gujarat.
