India, Maldives hold 5th defence cooperation dialogue
To promote stability and prosperity in the Indian Ocean region

NATIONAL, September 06, 2024: The 5th Defence Cooperation Dialogue between India and the Maldives was held Friday in New Delhi. The Indian delegation led by Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane and the Maldivian delegation headed by Chief of Defence Force General Ibrahim Hilmy discussed various aspects of bilateral defence cooperation.
These included expediting ongoing projects, high-level exchanges, capability development projects and participation in upcoming military exercises. The productive discussions aimed to advance shared interests and promote stability and prosperity in the Indian Ocean region.
