Gadkari, CM open new highway project in Tripura

AGARTALA, October 27 2020: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and union minister for road transport and highways Niti Gadkari jointly laid foundation stone for a 262km highway project in Tripura. The project has an estimated cost of Rs 2752 crore.

Minister Gadkari graced the occasion from New Delhi through video link.

Construction of the highway would be completed within one and half years, Chief Minister said. He informed that new rout would have 40km lesser distance from the existing highway and would also considerably reduce travel time.

The project has been highest ever expansive public works undertaken in Tripura. With several other ambitious projects in hand development activities in Tripura have taken a pace.
