Eviction drives at different places in Assam, Nagaland issues alert
Said to maintain public order and protect state's demographic integrity

REGIONAL, July 24, 2025: The Nagaland government has issued an advisory in view of the Assam government’s eviction drives. It called for increased vigilance and coordinated action to prevent illegal immigrants from entering the state.
The advisory highlights the need to maintain public order and protect the state's demographic integrity of Nagaland. Administrative Officers in the Sub-divisions of Medziphema, Dhansiripar and Seithekema, as well as Executive Officers of Chümoukedima and Medziphema Town Councils are instructed to remain vigilant and take immediate action to prevent illegal immigration.
Village and Town Councils are also urged to report suspicious cases.
