35 distinguished persons chosen to attend R-Day parade

REGIONAL, January 10, 2025: 35 distinguished persons from northeast India have been chosen to attend the Republic Day Parade 2025 in New Delhi on January 26. They will be part of 10,000 special guests to showcase respective contributions to Swarnim Bharat.
The group includes women entrepreneurs, National Award-winners, and beneficiaries of flagship government schemes. Emphasis is placed on inviting members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to work in areas such as income generation, environmental protection, health, nutrition, sanitation, Panchayati Raj institution convergence and gender empowerment.
Priority is given to those who have not visited Delhi before. During their visit, they will visit iconic landmarks like the National War Memorial and PM Sangrahalay, and engage in interactive sessions with key government ministers to deepen their understanding of India's heritage and governance initiatives.
