DBT-IBSD distributes hand sanitizers to frontline workers

SHILLONG, May 28, 2020: Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (DBT-IBSD), Shillong Centre, Meghalaya, has handed over Institute made hand sanitizers (as per WHO recommended formula) to Meghalaya Police. The initiative of free distribution of the above items was taken up under the guidance of Director of the institute, Prof Pulok K Mukherjee.
Over the next few days, the DBT-IBSD Shillong team will reach out to other frontline workers at hospitals, corona care centers and to the members of the media.
It may be mentioned that IBSD centers in different parts of North East India are actively contributing in their respective state by assisting in COVID19 testing by providing equipment, facility and consumables apart from distributing hand sanitisers to protect our frontline COVID – 19 warriors.
DBT-IBSD is an autonomous institute under Department of Biotechnology, Government of India with head office at Imphal and Centres at Gangtok, Aizawl and Shillong.
