CRPF Airfield organises civic action programme
Water storage tanks, solar lamps distributed to needy people

DIMAPUR, March 15 2023: 173 Bn CRPF organized Civic Action Programme at its Unit Headquarters located at Airfield Dimapur Wednesday where Kevidhuto Sophie Angami, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur was the Chief Guest of this programme.
Water Storage Tanks and Solar Lamps were distributed to the needy people residing near B/173 Bn CRPF Camp, CIHSR Hospital, and F/173 Bn CRPF Camp at Powergrid Colony Dimapur with a total of 58 solar lights and 36 water tanks.
Speaking on the Occasion, the Commandant of 173 Bn CRPF, Ashok Kumar Yadav said that Civic Action Programme is conducted by CRPF every year in which needy people are provided with various essential items which are beneficial for them in their daily life. He also further elucidated that the Civil Action Programme bridges the gap between Security Forces and the Local Populace and they should come together as one in the future.
Kevithuto Sophie Angami, Commissioner of Police Dimapur said that the village or the colonies should also help the units when needed. He said people are always free to ask for help from his department and added that he and his unit will try their best. He thanked all the CRPF Units of 173Bn.
This programme highlights included a bamboo dance by the Phaipijang village and a welcome address delivered by Heiyilung Nsarangbe Deputy Comdt 173Bn CRPF. The Civic Action will continue for three days in various parts of Dimapur and Nagaland.
