Covid-19: Lockdown in Tripura extended till August 4

AGARTALA, July 29 2020: Tripura will have no respite from current lockdown owing to surge in coronavirus cases. State government has extended 3-day lockdown set to expire Thursday morning to August 4.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a long televised speech Wednesday evening justified the imposition to check the virus menace, ensure safety of people and carry on health survey.
He was not happy over the protests occurring in some interior places against the health teams involved in the health survey exercise. He cautioned people that the survey would hold for another week and after that people would have visit a hospital with Covid-19 symptoms should there be.
So cooperate with the health team at your home premises - was the bottom line of his speech.
He also mentioned to the passion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that ‘Jaan Hai Toh Jahan Hai’ in reference to the stringent measures to Covid-19 situation.
