CM visits bereaved families of drowned children

AGARTALA, May 24 2023: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha Wednesday visited bereaved families two children who were tragically drowned in the river in Khowai and extended help. As many as three children died in the mishap Monday that sent shock wave across the state.

Chief Minister had gone Khowai district to grace a BJP party programme.

He went residence to two children and offered his sympathy and condolence to the bereaved families. He directed the district administration to provide assistance to the families as and when they require.  

Chief Minister was accompanied by Chief Whip of state assembly Kalyani Roy during his stint in Khowai. The state government has already announced financial assistance to the families of the victims.

“But no amount of help can bring back the children. May god gives the families strength to bear the pain at this difficult time”, Dr Saha was heard saying.  

Chief Minister announced that he will also visit the family of the third drowned child who stays at Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district.
