CM graces lamp lighting and oath-taking event of nursing college
49 students joined B.Sc Nursing compared to 48 the previous year

AGARTALA, January 06, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has asserted the importance of strengthening the state's healthcare system through an initiative to build a health hub. He stressed the need for nurses to establish good relationships with patients' families and provide services efficiently.
Dr Saha made the statement during the lamp lighting and oath-taking ceremony of the second batch of Agartala Government Nursing College and inaugurated the IT lab at the Nursing College Monday. He compared nursing to Florence Nightingale, who established the profession as a service-oriented vocation.
This year, 49 students joined the B.Sc Nursing compared to 48 the previous year.
The event was attended by distinguished guests including Director of Medical Education Dr HP Sharma, Principal of AGMC Professor Dr Anup Kumar Saha, Additional Secretary of the Health Department Rajiv Dutta, Joint Director of the Health Department Dr Souvik Debbarma and Medical Superintendent of IGM Hospital Dr Debashree Debbarma.
