Chief Minister meets Union Finance Minister at New Delhi
Discussed necessity of ceiling limit for EAPs, ceiling restrictions

AGARTALA, October 13, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi Monday. During the meeting, they discussed the necessity of increasing the ceiling limit for Externally Aided Projects (EAPs).
The Chief Minister also highlighted that several important projects under the Urban Development Department, Tourism Department and Agartala Municipal Corporation are currently on hold due to the existing ceiling restriction.
The Chief Minister urged the Union Finance Minister to consider providing additional funds to help reduce the gap in Dearness Allowance (DA) between State Government and Central Government employees.
It was emphasised that the ceiling limit for EAPs needs to be enhanced as numerous crucial projects under Urban Development, Tourism and Agartala Municipal Corporation are facing delays due to the current restriction.
