AGARTALA, March 26, 2024: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has urged Karyakartas to visit households and strengthen relationships with the people in order to gain support for the BJP's victory in both Lok Sabha seats in Tripura. He made the statement during a door-to-door campaign at Nabagram in Bamutia assembly constituency, where he emphasised the importance of Prime Minister Modi's "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayaas" and the state's significant development due to the Act East policy.
He highlighted the government's efforts to empower women, increase the number of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and enhance social pensions. Dr Saha expressed confidence that the people of the state would vote for the BJP candidates Biplab Kumar Deb for the West seat and Kriti Singh Debbarma for the East (ST) seat.
Chief Minister also urged people to go door-to-door to “gift two lotuses to PM Modi” (essentially meaning victory in both constituencies). The BJP has set a target of winning 370 seats, while the NDA aims to cross 400 seats, he asserted.
