Amit Malviya graces BJP workshop on IT & Social Media

Ex Tripura Chief Minister, Information Minister not seen at the event

AGARTALA, August 18 2022: In-charge of BJP’s National Information & Technology Department Amit Malviya graced a day long workshop on IT and Social Media here. The workshop transacted issues to educate responsible party cadres to disseminate information on achievements and programmes of the party and the government through means of digital media.

Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, who in the capacity of state party president had strengthened the social Media and IT Cell of the party that culminated in a massive triumph in 2018 assembly elections in the state, was not seen at the programme. It is not clear whether Deb was invited or the programme was formatted otherwise.

Similarly, state’s Information Minister Sushanta Chowdhury was absent.

Chief Minister and incumbent state BJP President Dr Manik Saha along with few state leaders attended. The Chief Minister in his speech lashed out at opposition and critics for allegedly resorting to politically motivated campaigns despite the state achieving success in all spheres.

He asserted that the BJP led state government has been relentlessly working to benefit all sections of people including the poor, weak and oppressed.

BJP’s IT Head Amit Malviya arrived here Wednesday and met both Biplab Kumar Deb and his successor Dr Manik Saha at their respective residences.
