Air Asia flight service launched in Tripura

AGARTALA, October 20, 2019: Air Asia has formally launched its operation in Agartala sector on Sunday. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb formally inaugurated the service in presence of dignitaries and senior officials of the airliner at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport.
Chief Minister lauded the Air Asia for choosing the sector for operation which would ease flight crisis. He said not only state, people from Bangladesh are also excessively using flights from Agartala to make their onward journey elsewhere in the country.
Lok Sabha MP Pratima Bhowmik, Transport Minister Pranjit Singha Roy and several dignitaries were present at the inauguration programme.
Air Asia officials said they would operate daily flights from Agartala to Imphal, Guwahati, Kolkata and Delhi.
