Agartala – Dhaka bus meets with a road accident in Bangladesh

CM termed serious in view of prevailing unrest in neighbouring country

AGARTALA, November 30, 2024: A passenger bus between Agartala and Dhaka met with a road accident in Bangladesh Saturday. All passengers were unharmed, according to government officials.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha has expressed his serious concern over the incident as Bangladesh is currently facing political unrest and religious tensions. He has stated that he will look into the matter to gather more information.

The mishap occurred when a speeding goods van collided with a bus operated by the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC). Reports state that the Bangladesh police have launched an investigation and registered a case.

Despite the accident, the bus was able to safely reach Dhaka.
