GLOBAL, December 16, 2024: 11 Indian nationals were found dead under mysterious circumstances at a restaurant in Gudauri, Georgia. Local media outlets Monday reported that the victims died from carbon monoxide poisoning although there has not been any official confirmation.
The Indian Mission in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi has been coordinating with local authorities to determine the exact conditions of their death and provide assistance to the families of the deceased.
Investigators in Georgia have found no signs of injury or violence. The Indian mission has been briefed on the initial findings of the probe.
Preparations are underway to send the bodies to their families. It is believed that the deceased individuals were employed at the restaurant.
