REGIONAL, November 12, 2024: A three-day workshop on "Impact Assessment & Capacity Building" for Akashvani's Kisanvani and Doordarshan's Kisan & Krishi Darshan producers from East Zone and Northeast Region began at ICAR in Meghalaya Tuesday.
The purpose is to enhance agricultural programming for rural development. Key figures like Dr BDR Tiwari and Ashish Bhatnagar inaugurated the workshop emphasising the importance of Akashvani and Doordarshan in providing reliable information for farmers.
The workshop will cover topics such as traditional practices and making scientific knowledge accessible. It aims to document age-old farming practices and integrate them into government schemes.
Bhatnagar highlighted the significance of Public Service Broadcasting Day and the role of AIR and Doordarshan in rural India. The workshop will empower participants to focus on unbiased information, national unity and social welfare continuing the commitment to serve farming communities since 1967.
