HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy underlined the urgent need to explore strategies to mitigate the job losses posed by advancing Artificial Intelligence (AI). He advocated for a focus on enhancing blue-collar employment.
Chief Minister was speaking at the inauguration of AVN Lakefield Global School Friday, he highlighted the importance of quality education amidst several reforms being introduced in the education sector. He said not satisfied with current state of education quality in government schools despite significant funding, revealing concerns over declining learning outcomes and a shift towards private institutions.
To counter these issues, he announced the introduction of nursery to Class 12 education in 100 government schools next academic year and plans for rationalising schools in the Hyderabad Core Urban Region. "Several reforms are being introduced in the education sector to adapt to changing circumstances", he added.
He also stressed the importance of sports aligning efforts with India's goal to host the Olympics in 2034.
The event was attended by various prominent public figures and educationalists.
