24th edition of annual Hornbill Festival vibrantly commenced

KOHIMA, November 01 2023: The World War II Peace Rally highlights of the Hornbill Festival will be held on December 2. The Rally will be Flagged Off from Chumukedima district at 7 am.
The official stops will be at Midway Resort, Piphema, Commonwealth War Grave and the Closing Function will be held at WWII Museum Arena in Kisama.
For this peace rally Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will be the Special Guest at the Closing Function and Advisor Hekani Jakhalu will be the Special Guest for the Flagging Off ceremony.
The much-awaited 24th edition of the annual Hornbill Festival vibrantly commenced at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama on December 1.
Delivering the festival message, the Chief Host and Governor, La Ganesan stated that it was an honour to open the gates to an enchanting world where culture dances through the tapestry of time, and tradition embraces modernity with grace. He said that the Hornbill Festival is a celebration that not only showcases the rich Naga heritage, but also embodies the spirit of unity in diversity.
