15 percent addition allocation in state budget for Dhalai
CM stressed importance of transparency in good governance

AGARTALA, February 10, 2024: "Dhalai is an aspirational district, and as such, we allocate an additional 10 to 15 percent from the budget for its development," were the words of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, emphasising the importance of the state's tribal concentrated district.
In his speech at the inauguration of a new building for the Ambassa Municipal Council in Dhalai District on Saturday, the Chief Minister highlighted the need for infrastructure development to ensure efficient delivery of citizen services.
The event was attended by Dhalai District Magistrate Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, Superintendent of Police Avinash Rai and other dignitaries.
The Chief Minister also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his development initiatives, which have had a positive impact on the district. He further mentioned that the state government has allocated up to 15 percent extra budget for the district's overall development.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of transparency in good governance, which is a guiding principle of the current government in earning the trust and support of the people. He also spoke about the growth of the state’s GDP and per capita income, which now stands at Rs 1.40 lakh.
