AGARTALA, March 24 2023: The Two weeks Faculty Development Programme on ‘Sustainable Development Goals: Transforming Society’ organised by Faculty Development Centre of Tripura University from March 10 to 23 concluded Friday.
The valedictory function was graced by NC Sarma, Director, DHE, Government of Tripura. Addressing the valedictory function, Sarma said it is very important for all faculties of higher educational institutions to know about the concept of sustainable development goals and their universal agenda.
He also discussed about the importance of adopted village and their development through sustainable way to make it a model village. He requested all the participants to take responsibility and commitment for the development of the society.
Dr Deepak Sharma, Registrar, Tripura University, Prof AK Saha, Deputy Director, FDC and Prof BC Tripathy, Coordinator, FDC were also present in the programme.
The FDP covers all Seventeen Sustainable Development Goals, which are an urgent call for action for all countries. The program is really beneficial to the participants and now the participants are well equipped with the knowledge of SDG goals for further teaching, research and community level works in rural areas.
Altogether 30 faculty members from various colleges and university of Tripura and other parts of India have participated in the mentioned Faculty Development Program. Twenty Five resource persons from different Higher Educational Institutes including Prof Erin Ivory from USA delivered lecture in the program.
