Ministry of Civil Aviation clears flight operation in western sector
IndiGo said it will not immediately resume services in some routes

NATIONAL, May 12, 2025: India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation Monday lifted the temporary closure of 32 airports for civil aircraft operations, which were earlier barred till 5:29 am of May 15. The closure was announced in view of the conflict situation on the western frontier of the country.
The Ministry said the notified airports are now available for civil aircraft operations with immediate effect. It advised travellers to check flight status directly with the airlines and monitor the airline’s websites for regular updates.
Meanwhile, IndiGo has said it will not operate flights on some routes based on reports of drone activities from Pakistan. There has not been any official confirmation of the claim.
