Manoj Kumar to be new Tripura Chief Secretary

AGARTALA, November 29, 2019: Incumbent Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar will be new Chief Secretary of Tripura. The Tripura cadre of 1990 IAS batch will take over the charge from Usurupati Venkateswarlu who is retiring on Saturday.

Kumar is presently holding departments like Electricity, Finance and Forest Departments.

As Chief Secretary he would look after Home apart from other portfolios.

The state government on Thursday effected some major changes in top rung of administration with another Additional Chief Secretary Kumar Alok losing Home and few other important departments.

Kumar has applied for leave of absence for an unspecified period, sources said.
