AGARTALA, September 02, 2024: A Bangladeshi girl was found dead at a border location in Kailashahar, the headquarters of Unakoti district in north Tripura Monday. The body of a 16-year-old girl was found bleeding at the Latiapura border outpost under Irani police station.
Senior police and BSF officers inspected the scene of the incident.
The body was sent for an autopsy. A police official stated that the exact cause of death would be determined after a forensic investigation.
There has been no immediate confirmation of the circumstances that led to the girl being found within Indian territory.
