
REGIONAL: The Indian Army has announced that online registration for the Army Recruitment (Agniveer) 2027 will begin on February 13 and continue until April 1, 2026. Prospective candidates interested in applying must do so within this timeframe via the official website.
The recruitment process is intended to cover various categories under the Agniveer tradesman and other specified trades, with an online entrance test slated to occur tentatively from June 1 to June 15, 2026.
Notably, the maximum age limit for applicants has been raised to 22 years allowing individuals born between July 1, 2005 and July 1, 2009 to participate. Candidates are permitted to apply for multiple categories as long as they meet the eligibility criteria.
Furthermore, those with NCC certificates, ITI or diploma qualifications, and recent sports achievements may receive special consideration in line with recruitment guidelines. Additional considerations are offered to two wards of service personnel, ex-servicemen and war widows, who can earn bonus marks as per existing standards.
The recruitment process will also include relaxed educational requirements and adjusted terms for medical examinations according to the official regulations. A registration fee of ₹250 is required from applicants.
