Zubeen Garg's death: Assam CM says significant progress made
Four witnesses are slated to reach Guwahati from Singapore Monday

NATIONAL, October 12, 2025: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Sunday announced significant progress by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in the investigation of singer Zubeen Garg's death following the receipt of the viscera report from the Central Forensic Laboratory in Delhi.
He expressed confidence that the full sequence of events leading to Garg's death would be presented to the court shortly.
Meanwhile four Assamese expatriates who allegedly witnessed the singer's last moments are expected to arrive in Guwahati on Monday to provide their statements to the CID. Zubeen Garg tragically passed away on September 19 in Singapore while attending the 4th North East India Festival.
After his post-mortem at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, a viscera sample was sent for detailed examination to the forensic laboratory.
