Bihar polls: NDA partners fix seat sharing arrangements
Opposition Grand Alliance constituents in hectic discussions

NATIONAL, October 10, 2025: Negotiations regarding seat sharing for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have reached a resolution following extensive discussions. Top NDA leaders are poised to announce the seat-sharing arrangements shortly with BJP president JP Nadda scheduled to chair party’s core committee meeting in New Delhi Saturday.
Throughout the day, senior BJP leaders engaged in a series of talks with NDA allies, including the Janata Dal (United), Rashtriya Lok Morcha, Hindustani Awam Morcha and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). Key figures such as Dharmendra Pradhan, the BJP’s election in-charge along with Vinod Tawde and state president Dilip Jaiswal were actively involved in negotiations including discussions with Rashtriya Lok Morcha leader Upendra Kushwaha and Chirag Paswan of the Lok Janshakti Party in Delhi.
A meeting between representatives from BJP, JD(U), Rashtriya Lok Morcha, Lok Janshakti Party, and Hindustani Awam Morcha took place at the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary in Patna.
Meanwhile the Grand Alliance constituent parties including the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and Communist Party of India (CPI) convened separate meetings to strategise for the elections. Congress leaders have reached out to RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav to discuss and resolve existing disagreements.
Moreover, the RJD's Parliamentary Board has authorized Lalu Prasad to make final decisions while former Congress state president Akhilesh Prasad Singh announced that a consensus has been achieved within the Grand Alliance.
