Vibrant events underway to celebrate Independence Day

Tripura Chief Minister to lead a grand Tiranga Rally on August 12

AGARTALA, August 10, 2025: Vibrant events to celebrate Independence Day, which got underway on August 2, will culminate on August 5. The Tripura government has prepared elaborate programmes to mark the historic occasion. 

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha will lead a grand Tiranga Rally here on August 12 at 4 pm. The rally would start at Ujjayanta Palace, which housed the state assembly for decades, and would end at the Rabindra Bhavan. 

After the rally, a Tiranga Concert is arranged in the main auditorium of Rabindra Bhavan where singers and musicians will create fusion in the presence of dignitaries and packed audience. A two-day Tiranga Exhibition would be inaugurated at the Bhavan premises.

Meanwhile, smart contingents of police, paramilitary forces, civil defence, NSS and NCC cadets are engaged in hectic rehearsals at the Assam Rifles parade ground here for the Independence Day parade. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha would be chief guest of the salami parade and guard of honour.
