UGC extends thesis submission date up to 6 months
Tenure of the fellowship will remain up to five years only

NEW DELHI, May 18 2022: University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education in continuation of Public Notice date December 1 2021 in view of the larger interest of the research scholars, has decided that an extension of up to six months, beyond June 30 2022.
It may be given to the students by their respective Higher Educational Institutions, on a case-to-case basis based on the review of the student's work by the Research Advisory and on the recommendation of the supervisor and the Head of the Department of each individual case.
The notification was issued by the Secretary of UGC PK. Thakur vide No F 1-10/ 2021 (CPP- II) dated May 17 2022 such extension may also be granted for submitting evidence of publication and presentation in two Conferences.
However, the tenure of the fellowship will remain up to five years only.
