Tripura will immensely add to India’s GDP growth: CM
Said state has moved from a performance state to a front-runner

AGARTALA, January 21, 2025: Tripura, India's second-highest GSDP state, will immensely add to India’s GDP growth. Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha highlighted the state's progress in the northeast region and its achievements in sustainable development goals.
Speaking at the central programme to mark Tripura Statehood Day 2025 here Tuesday, Dr Saha noted that the state has constantly received support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah who have helped the state overcome massive losses during the floods in 2024.
An important take from the Chief Minister’s speech was that Tripura has moved from a performance state to a front-runner in 2023-24. The state's budget allocation is Rs 28,000 with its own revenue of Rs 3,700 crore.
The state has also launched the Tripura Startup Policy and UNNATI Schemes, and has launched the CM Jan Arogya Yojana to establish good governance, Chief Minister mentioned.
Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Cooperation Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, the Industries and Commerce Minister, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Chief Secretary JK Sinha, DGP Amitabh Ranjan, DG (Intelligence) Anurag and ICA Secretary on Chakraborty were in attendance in the programme.
