Tripura to go under complete lockdown Sunday

AGARTALA, July 04 2020: Tripura will go under a strict 24 hours lockdown Sunday as to discipline people to adhere to social distancing and other health advisories to check spread of coronavirus.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a video message Saturday appealed people to observe one day lockdown in letter and spirit.
The state government has directed DMs and SPs of all districts to implement the lockdown.
The police have warned strict action will be taken against violators and vehicles will be seized if people are found to be commuting without a valid reason.
Tripura is burdened with 1559 Covid-19 positive cases and has second highest tally after Assam in northeast India.
