Tripura - Mizoram Gas Pipeline progress reviewed
The Panisagar–Sihhmui stretch included in Phase II of project

REGIONAL, December 15, 2025: Chief Minister Lalduhoma met with Subrata Das, the Chief Executive Officer of Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) and his team at his office Monday to discuss the progress of the Tripura–Mizoram Gas Pipeline project.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the work that has been completed so far and listened to the challenges that have arisen during the implementation of the project. IGGL officials said the gas pipeline begins at the Panisagar Receiving Terminal in Tripura and passes through Kanhmun, Zawlnuam, Kawrthah, Tuidam and Darlak before reaching near Mamit.
From there, it will continue towards Lengte and end at the proposed Sihhmui Receiving Terminal. Once the pipeline reaches the Sihhmui Receiving Terminal, Tripura Natural Gas Corporation Limited will be responsible for providing household gas connections within Aizawl city.
The pipeline from Panisagar to Sihhmui will have a total length of 119.5 kilometers and a pipe diameter of one foot. The project is expected to be completed by December 2027 and is part of the North East Natural Gas Pipeline Grid.
The Panisagar–Sihhmui stretch is included in Phase II of the project, which also includes the Guwahati–Agartala–Aizawl pipeline with a total length of 723 kilometers.
