Training on screenplay writing gets underway

KOHIMA, November 14 2022: An inaugural programme of 10-day training on Screenplay Writing was held at the Directorate of Information & Public Relations Monday with Prof Sudipto Acharyya as the resource person. The training is being imparted free of cost.
Additional Director, DIPR, Dzüvinuo Theünuo mentioned that the first phase of training which was conducted online was a success due to the resource person and the FTII. She said that screenplay writing is a whole new world for Nagas to explore and she encouraged the trainees to take advantage of the ongoing training. The ünuo also briefed on the history of the Department and invited the guests to the Hornbill Festival.
Prof Sudipto Acharyya, Senior Faculty, Direction Department, Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, hoped that the experiences and initiatives during the training will help in encouraging creating more screenplay writers in the future.
The training is being conducted by the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in collaboration with DIPR for ST participants residing in Nagaland from November 14 to 24 2022.
