Asserted the state experienced peace and harmony in recent years

AGARTALA, June 14, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha announced that the state government is prioritising infrastructure development and improving the financial condition of rural residents. He was speaking after unveiling several development projects, including the Baijalbari Police Station, ST Boys' Hostel and six virtual projects at Baijalbari HS School Ground in Khowai District Saturday.
Dr. Saha asserted that the state has experienced peace and harmony in recent years and that if the people of Tripura stay together, it will be possible to build Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura. The government has given special priority to the development of education, health, agriculture and communication systems with a focus on the overall development of tribals.
He said emphasis has been placed on self-reliance, with an increase in self-help groups in the state. The government has also focused on the economic development of the people in rural areas, implementing flagship projects like the Ayushman Bharat Jana Arogya Yojana and the Jana Arogya Yojana to provide medical services to the people.
The Chief Minister stated the government has prioritized improving the quality of life, promoting education, health and creating employment opportunities. The rule of law is crucial, and the crime rate in the state has come down by 19.4% in 2023-24. On May 13, 975 male and female constables were appointed, with 332 being women.
The state government has approved the appointment of 916 more constables, more than 6,000 special executive posts and 218 sub-inspectors. Delegates from the administration, including Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, Khowai District Sabhadhipati Aparna Singh Roy Dutta, MLA Ranjit Debbarma, DGP Anurag, Khowai District Magistrate Rajat Pant, Director of Panchayat Department Prasun Dey and District Superintendent of Police Ranaditya Das attended the event.
