Three new Government Degree Colleges to come up in Tripura

AGARTALA, May 18, 2025: In a significant move towards improving the higher education landscape in Tripura, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha Saturday announced the decision to establish three new Government Degree Colleges in the state.
As the education minister of the state, Dr Saha, stated that the colleges will be located in Ambassa in Dhalai district, and Kakraban and Karbook in Gomati district, and will start in the academic session of 2025-26.
The Chief Minister stressed that this decision reflects the State Government's dedication to increasing access to higher education particularly in remote and underserved areas. He added that these new colleges will immensely benefit students in these areas by providing them with access to higher education and promoting quality education.
