Spouse of Tripura’s first Chief Minister dies aged 92

AGARTALA, April 06, 2024: Laxmi Singh, widowed spouse of Tripura’s first Chief Minister Sachindra Lal Singh, passed away. Incumbent Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, his predecessors and dignitaries have Saturday condoled the death.

She was 92-years-old at the time of her demise. She left behind two sons and a daughter.

Family said she breather her last at the residence of her daughter at Faridabad in Delhi NCR. She was suffering from old age complications.

The state government last year allotted a government quarter for the family in Agartala.
